Horror Month – June 2015
Written by Lewis Mainwaring
After years of rumours, Dimension Films is officially casting for Halloween Returns – which will finally bring Michael Myers back to the big screen !!!!!
Moviehole broke the news and wrote that “A new generation of victims are set to emerge”.
The new project will be a standalone film set to reintroduce audiences to Michael Myers years after his initial rampage.
Halloween Returns will pit a new group of Haddonfield youngsters against Myers. The now 18-year-old child of one of Myers’ victims plays a central role along with the child of a cop whose long been obsessed with Myers’ case, even putting it before his own daughter.
Myers is now on death row and the two kids with their own personal vendettas against the killer sneak in to watch his execution. But when things go awry and Myers escapes, the pair, along with their friends, find themselves in the firing line. As previously reported by Bloody-disgusting.com back in February this instalment of the Halloween franchise will not be in 3-D nor follow in the footsteps of Rob Zombie’s remakes and has been called a “recalibration”.
This instalment is penned by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, the duo behind various Saw sequels – these guys know horror !!!!
I can’t wait to see Michael back on the big screen !!!!!!
