Sky releases trailer for “Friday the 13th” prequel series “Crystal Lake”, coming this October

Sky today unveils the official trailer for Crystal Lake, the highly anticipated new series from A24 and creator, writer, executive producer and showrunner Brad Caleb Kane (It: Welcome to Derry, Tokyo Vice, Warrior). Check out the trailer below:
Expanding the iconic Friday the 13th universe, the eight-part series stars Emmy-winner Linda Cardellini (DTF St. Louis, Dead To Me) and will be available exclusively on Sky and streaming service NOW in the UK and Ireland from this October.

‘Transformers’ and ‘Winnie the Pooh’ voice actor Peter Cullen dies aged 85

Peter Cullen, the actor who voiced the Autobots leader Optimus Prime in “Transformers” and Eeyore in several “Winnie-the-Pooh” projects, died on Wednesday, his agent Kevin Motley confirmed. He was 85.

Cullen passed at his family home in Los Angeles, “surrounded by his loving family – and held in the hearts of his many friends and countless fans worldwide,” his family said in a statement.

REVIEW: ‘A Savage Art’ (2025) – The life & cartoons of Pat Oliphant

A Savage Art features the life and work of political cartoonist Patrick Oliphant, whose storied career spanned five decades and ten U.S. Presidents. The film is told in interviews with Pat, his family, friends and colleagues, archival footage and hundreds of his cartoons. It also briefly outlines the history of political cartoons, showing how important and impactful political cartoonists have been throughout the ages, and how in our current climate of political partisanship and corporate control of the media, political cartoonists, like Oliphant, are critical to checking the powers that be. The documentary is directed and produced by Bill Banowsky (Casino Jack and the United States of Money) along with co-producer Paul O’Bryan (Moonfall) and is being released by Magnolia Pictures.
