The CW has announced today at the Television Critics Association that Ariter/Director Kevin Smith (Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy) will direct an upcoming episode of hit DC Comics show The Flash Season 2.

 Smith has previous written for Marvel & DC properties in comics including Batman, Green Arrow & Daredevil.

He has recently become a fan and supporter of the series as stated on his Geek-news podcast Fatman on Batman with Marc Bernardin.

The episode is expected to air in May, close to the season finale. No episode number or airdate was revealed at TCA. 

Season 2 Resumes with episode 10 January 19th.

Meanwhile, Smith is soon to release the film Yoga Hosers with filming for Mallrats 2 & Clerks III slated for 2016.
