Warner Bros. on Wednesday announced several changes to their upcoming release schedule – which will affect the DCEU.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods the sequel to Shazam! (2019) and the 12th film in the DC Extended Universe has been pushed back from December 21st 2022 to March 17th 2023.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom the sequel to Aquaman (2018) and the 13th film in the DC Extended Universe has been moved from March 17th 2023 to December 25th 2023.

As part of the calendar shuffle the following films have also moved:-

• “untitled WB event film” will be released on February 10th 2023.
• Evil Dead Rise has been scheduled for April 4th 2023 – previously expected to debut on HBO Max but they will now play exclusively in theaters.
• The Nun 2 will be released on September 8th 2023.
• Salem’s Lot which was expected to be released on April 21st 2023, has been moved to a to-be-determined date in the same year.

Evil Dead Rise, the fifth chapter in the horror franchise, as well as the LeBron James-produced remake House Party, which is scheduled for December 9th 2022, were expected to debut on HBO Max but they will now play exclusively in theaters.
