In the 1980’s, Mary Whitehouse, a staunch supporter of purity of what people could peruse in their own home with arrests of video merchants and artists in the wake of this moral panic. Ironically, in the 1970’s there was a British independent director by the name of Pete Walker who was infamous for his low-budget, graphic, and sadistic horror movies that, despite not being in the 72 videos that were deemed video nasties, troubled British censors. Walker delved into many genres such as erotic, detective, and thrillers. As it is the Halloween season, I will make my attempt to rank Mr. Walker’s horror films from the worst to the very best. Further details released for ‘Krampus – The Naughty Cut’ 4K BluRay release
Michael Dougherty’s gloriously campy festive horror/comedy Krampus is getting a new 4K UHD BluRay release from Scream Factory. ‘KRAMPUS: THE NAUGHTY CUT‘ restores key dialogue and scenes that had to be trimmed from the original theatrical release in order to appease the MPAA. Supervised by Dougherty, this is the definitive version of the holiday cult classic for the entire family to enjoy.

Top 5 Horror Soundtracks
On Halloween eve we take the opportunity to listen to our favourite horror soundtracks. Music and score plays such a huge part of the genre; with music able to change a scene from shocking and graphic to comedic with the change of a note. Many hugely talented composers and musicians have contributed to the genre over the years and here we have chose five of our favourites and discuss why they have such a lasting impact; even beyond the films that they accompanied.

Brendan Fraser to play villain in upcoming Batgirl movie
Brendan Fraser is set to join Leslie Grace in Warner Bros and DC Films’ Batgirl.
Though not confirmed sources believe Fraser would play the supervillain Firefly in the upcoming movie.
Winners announced: 2021 British Academy Cymru Awards
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) in Wales, BAFTA Cymru, has announced the winners of the 30th British Academy Cymru Awards. The awards honour excellence in broadcasting and production within film and television in Wales and by the Welsh in UK productions, and serve to inspire the next generation of creative talent.
The 30th BAFTA Cymru Awards was hosted by Alex Jones, with 22 awards being presented throughout the evening. The ceremony was broadcast on BAFTA’s Facebook, Twitter and YouTube channels and is available to watch here.
Review: Stephen King’s Mute
Mute is a 22 minute short film based upon a short story by author Stephen King, first published in Playboy Magazine in 2007 and included in his collection Just After Sunset (2008).
Written for the screen & directed by Kyle Dunbar. This latest King adaptation stars Andrew Bee (Monette), Christian Tribuzio (The Priest), Alexandre Stoupenkov (The Hitchhiker), Rebecca Callender (Kelsie Ann), Laura Shanter (Barbara), and Marvin Holland (Cowboy Bob).

Danny DeVito joins Disney’s Haunted Mansion remake
Disney is currently developing a new Haunted Mansion movie. The studio previously turned the ride into a movie in 2003 with a feature starring Eddie Murphy.
Danny DeVito has joined the cast of Haunted Mansion, based on one of the company’s signature theme park rides.
