Disney have announced more release date changes, and has confirmed that for the time being no tiles are heading to Disney+ instead of theaters like they did recently with Mulan. And that includes Pixar’s Soul which is currently sticking to its Nov. 20 release against MGM’s No Time To Die.

Star Wars ‘The Empire Strikes Back’ art director passes away

We are sad to report the death of film Art Director Alan Tomkins. Tomkins was the art director for Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back. His work on the film earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Art Direction. Throughout an incredible career in film Tomkins art directed and contributed to films such as Batman Begins, A Bridge Too Far, JFK, Saving Private Ryan, Die Another Day, Natural Born Killers and Disney’s 101 Dalmations as well as numerous assisting art direction/draughtsmen credits including A View To A Kill, From Russia With Love and work on Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Robert Pattinson returns to filming for ‘The Batman’

Robert Pattinson has been cleared to return to filming ‘The Batman’ again after his positive COVID-19 test brought production on the comic book movie to a standstill. The studio has never confirmed the identity of the person with the positive test and did not reveal any information about Pattinson’s condition or if anyone else on the production tested positive. Representatives for Pattinson also never acknowledged that he had contracted the virus, though Variety confirmed an initial report in Vanity Fair that the actor had COVID-19.

Marvel considering new ‘Black Widow’ release date.

Warner Bros.’ domestic box office for Tenet, which only made $6.7M in its second stateside weekend (technically 3rd) is an indicator of this, of course, with New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco closures being a further stumbling block. As such, exhibition sources told Deadline that Disney is pondering a theatrical release date move for Black Widow off its current Nov. 6 date. There’s no concrete idea of where it goes, whether its somewhere in December or next year yet. It could easily move to Marvel’s The Eternals release date of Feb. 12 next year.

Wonder Woman 1984 Delayed

Wonder Woman 1984 is officially delayed to later in 2020. After initially moving Wonder Woman 1984 to August, the studio then settled on an October release date, positioning Wonder Woman 1984 about a month after Tenet’s domestic debut. According to The Wall Street Journal, Wonder Woman 1984 has been delayed again. A new official release date is not set, but WB plans for Wonder Woman 1984 to come out later in 2020. The current scheduled date is December 25th 2020.
