The new film in the Evil Dead franchise is currently titled ‘Evil Dead Rise’, and is being directed by Lee Cronin (The Hole in the Ground), it won’t feature Bruce Campbell as Ash Williams, and it’s not going to be set at a cabin in the woods….Campbell himself teased over the weekend that Evil Dead Rise is at least set in a city.

Jack Quaid, whose hit Amazon show The Boys returns for a second season this Friday, has found his next film role.

Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman has died aged 43 after a four-year fight with colon cancer.
He died at home in Los Angeles with his wife and family by his side, his publicist Nicki Fioravante said.

Disney is developing a new Haunted Mansion movie. The studio previously turned the ride into a movie in 2003 with a feature starring Eddie Murphy.
Katie Dippold is writing a feature based on the popular ride.
Netflix’s The Babysitter: Killer Queen Trailer Released
A sequel to Netflix’s 2017 horror-comedy The Babysitter with The Babysitter: Killer Queen set to arrive on the streaming service on September 10.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre Reboot Gets New Director
Back last year it was reported that Fede Alvarez would be producing a new take on Tobe Hooper’s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre for Legendary.
Earier this year it was reported that Ryan and Andy Tohill would be directing the film, written by Chris Thomas Devlin. But those plans, a week into production, have collapsed.
