Audio Review: Blake’s 7 – Crossfire Part 2

Review: Doctor Who – Static
Review by Kenton Hall
I love Colin Baker. I should probably get that out of the way; lest this review seem sycophantic in the extreme. He was my Doctor growing up and I’ve since been extremely honoured to work with him on a film. He’s a great actor and a charming, generous man.Right. Taking all of the above as read, and sparing Colin’s blushes any further, Static is one of the most purely enjoyable (and unsettling) Doctor Who stories in some time and it rounds out a fantastic trilogy for the Sixth Doctor, Constance and Flip.

Review – The First Doctor Adventures (Volume One)
Review by Doctor Squee (Host of Gallifrey Stands Podcast)
The First Doctor is back, but maybe not the one you might expect! Yes, David Bradley reprises his role of the First Doctor from ‘An Adventure in Time & Space’ (then technically as William Hartnell) and Twice Upon a Time. Joined by his Tardis crew from ‘An Adventure in Time & Space’ Claudia Grant (Susan), Jamie Glover (Ian Chesterton) & Jemma Powell (Barbara Wright). Also featuring James Dreyfus as the Master… the Original you might say!
Review: The War Master – Only The Good
Review by Doctor Squee

Big Finish have clearly finished with everything we always knew we wanted in a Doctor Who story and now are going for things we never knew we always wanted. Enter the War Master! Who doesn’t want to see Derek Jacobi playing the Master again!

Review: Doctor Who Early Adventures – The Wreck Of The World
Review by Doctor Squee (Host of Gallifrey Stands Podcast)
This is a lovely second Doctor story with Jamie & Zoe that perfectly mirrors the style of the time the story would fit into on TV; but as writer Timothy X Atack tells us in the extras, maybe a script that might not have been made due to budget.
‘Doctor Who – The Unsaved Planet’
Following on from “Doctor Who: The Time Trap” & “Doctor Who: Death as Christmas” the Gallifrey Stands Podcast team are back for another charity full cast audio drama, this year to raise money for LGBT charity Stonewall UK.
Audio Review: Blake’s 7 – Heroes
Review by Ian McArdell
Celebrating Blake’s 7’s band of heroes, or should that be anti-heroes, this short-story collection is released in anticipation of the programme’s 40th anniversary next year.
