Margot Robbie tells Vanity Fair that female-led Pirates of the Caribbean movie is dead

Margot Robbie announced in a new Vanity Fair cover story that her upcoming female-fronted Pirates of the Caribbean movie is officially dead with Disney deciding not to move forward with the project.

It was announced in June 2020 that Oscar nominee Robbie would be the star of a new movie at Disney written by her Birds of Prey screenwriter Christina Hodson. Continue reading

Margot Robbie To Star In New Pirates of the Caribbean Movie

Margot Robbie is setting sail with help from her Birds of Prey writer Christina Hodson.

The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively reported that Hodson will write a new, female-fronted Pirates of the Caribbean for Disney, with Robbie attached to star.
