UPDATE:
In a radio interview with 102.5 The Bone radio station Smith teased a Fall 2019 release.
“I think we are out in the fall”
Filming starts next week (February 2019) on the long-awaited follow-up to Kevin Smith’s 2001 film Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back. This is his first live-action return to his ‘View Askewniverse’ characters since 2006’s Clerks II. It follows failed attempts to produce a Mallrats TV Series and Clerks III. The film marks Smith’s return to film directing after surviving a heart attack last year.
The film follows a similar premise to the first film and has been described as ‘making fun of reboots, remakes and sequels’.
