Following Charisma Carpenter, who played Cordelia Chase on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and it’s spin off Angel taking to twitter to shared her experience working with Buffy creator Joss Whedon, David Boreanaz has commented on the allegations.
Boreanaz portrayed the role of Angel who is introduced as a love interest for heroine Buffy Summers (Sarah Michelle Gellar), a young woman whose destiny as “the Slayer” is to fight the forces of evil, such as vampires and demons.
The character’s popularity led to the production of the spin-off Angel, which follows the character’s struggle towards redemption after moving to Los Angeles.
Boreanaz replied to Carpenter on Twitter saying:
I am here for you to listen and support you. Proud of your strength♥️🙏
In the wake of the investigation into Whedon’s on set behaviour whilst working on the Justice League, Carpenter has accused Whedon of a hostile and abusive work environment with other cast members showing support and sharing their stories on social media including Sarah Michelle Gellar, Clare Kramer, Michelle Trachtenberg, Anthony Head, J. August Richards, Emma Caulfield, James Marsters, Amber Benson, Eliza Dushku, Julie Benz, Danny Strong, Adam Busch, Tom Lenk and former showrunner Marti Noxon.
Over the past few days Buffy fans have urged David Boreanaz and Alyson Hannigan to speak up about Joss Whedon claims. Several ‘main characters’ including Nicholas Brendon and Seth Green have also yet to comment on the matter.

I am happy to hear people becoming brave enough to speak out about the abuse someone who should be more about his art and work than abusing the people who are trying to help his dream come true..it is sad to see someone in his position to take advantage of that and I feel he should lose his job and be thrown out of his director position and he needs to get help for his issues. I thought at one time that joss was a great person and brilliant but after all this stuff that has come out I think he is disgusting and I would never work with someone like him..
