Breaking Glass Pictures are re-releasing the LGBT laugh-out-loud comedy Another Gay Movie in celebration of the film’s 15 Year Anniversary. Arriving on April 27 (VOD) including iTunes, Google Play, Vudu, and May 4th (DVD) including a brand-new Director’s Cut, complete with never-before-seen footage including gay film icon Mink Stole. From writer/director Todd Stephens the film stars Michael Carbonaro, Jonah Blechman, Graham Norton, Richard Hatch, Lypsinka, Ashley Atkinson, Ant & Scott Thompson.

This gross-out LGBT spoof of teen classics such as ‘American Pie‘ revolves around four gay teenagers: curious Andy (Michael Carbonaro), flamboyant Nico (Jonah Blechman), jock Jarod (Jonathan Chase), and geeky Grif (Mitch Morris). These four boys want to have sex, but can’t find anyone to do it with. It’s their graduation day and their lesbian friend Muffler’s (Ashlie Atkinson) having her graduation party. The next morning, the boys make the pact to have sex before the end of the summer.Whilst the film is a perfect gay send-up of the super straight American Pie style comedies of the time, it perhaps doesn’t age as well with the more enlightened LGBT-led films and series that have followed since. However the film does have a certain John Waters-esque charm of it’s own and is packed with references to gay film favourites such as the infamous Mommie Dearest. It has it’s own colourful, larger than life world with characters to match.

This brand-new Director’s Cut makes a few additions and trims but most notably includes a previously deleted scene with Mink Stole that is a parody of the bathroom scene from cult gay rom-com ‘Trick’. Whilst not really fitting in context it is a fun and memorable scene which has become a firm favourite with fans.
