French actor and actor Gaspard Ulliel has died after suffering a serious head injury in a skiing accident in the Alps.
The 37-year-old was rushed to hospital in a serious condition after the incident in the Rosiere ski area in the Savoie region on Tuesday.
In 2007, Gaspard Ulliel played Hannibal Lecter in the psychological horror film and the fifth film of the Hannibal Lecter franchise Hannibal Rising, an adaptation of the novel written by Thomas Harris. The film served as a prequel to Red Dragon, The Silence of the Lambs, and Hannibal.
Ulliel was also known for his roles in Saint Laurent, It’s Only The End Of The World, A Very Long Engagement and as the face of the Chanel fragrance Bleu de Chanel.
He will play Midnight Man in the upcoming Marvel/Disney+ Moon Knight series, alongside Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke.
