‘Friday the 13th Part III’ getting Limited Edition Steelbook for 40th Anniversary

Paramount continues celebrating big anniversaries in the Friday the 13th franchise with new Steelbook Blu-ray releases, and up next is 1982’s sequel Friday the 13th Part III. The Limited Edition 40th Anniversary Steelbook will release on May 10, 2022, following the or the first two movies as well as an 8-film Steelbook set.Like the previous movies, this new Steelbook release features a pre-existing disc housed inside of new packaging, so there’s nothing new here aside from that Steelbook case. This Steelbook contains the 2D version, remastered in 2020 from original film elements.

In Friday the 13th Part III,

“A carefree summer becomes a deadly nightmare for another group of naïve counselors who choose to ignore Camp Crystal Lake’s gruesome legacy. They find themselves in a bloody game of cat-and-mouse with the maniacal Jason who stalks their every move…and ruthlessly kills them off one-by-one.”

Special Features include: “Fresh Cuts: 3D Terror” / “Legacy of the Mask” / “Slasher Films: Going for the Jugular” / “Lost Tales from Camp Blood – Part III” / Original Theatrical trailer.
