Zoe Terakes has joined the cast of the Disney+ series Ironheart in a key role.
Trans non-binary actor Terakes, who recently starred in Prime’s Nine Perfect Strangers, shared the news on social media.
Details regarding their role are being kept under wraps.
The series will star Dominique Thorne as Marvel character Riri Williams, A genius inventor who creates a suit of armor that rivals the armor of Tony Stark / Iron Man.
Additionally, Anthony Ramos, Harper Anthony, Manny Montana and Alden Ehrenreich have been cast in undisclosed roles, with Lyric Ross cast as Williams’ best friend.
RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Shea Couleé (Jaren Kyei Merrell known professionally as Coulee) has also landed a secret role in the upcoming series.
Chinaka Hodge was recently tapped as head writer on the series. The series will consist of six episodes, with Sam Bailey directing the first three and Angela Barnes directing the last three.
Ironheart is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in late 2023, and will be part of Phase Five of the MCU.
