Jemma Redgrave will reprise her role as Kate Stewart, Head of Scientific Research at UNITband Aneurin Barnard will join the cast of long-running and ever-popular BBC series Doctor Who.

“UNIT returns! Jemma Redgrave returns as Kate Lethbridge-Stewart, and UNIT, the long-running organisation set on defending the Earth, returns in the next series of #DoctorWho. Aneurin Barnard also joins the series as the mysterious Roger ap Gwilliam,” said a tweet from the official Doctor Who handle.
Filming is currently underway on the 14th season with Millie Gibson being spotted filming today in Newport South Wales.
Three hour-long episodes are due to air in November 2023, featuring David Tennant and Catherine Tate as the Fourteenth Doctor and companion Donna.
Russell T Davies is also returning to the series as showrunner.
Little is also known so far about who Neil Patrick Harris is playing, with some fan speculation that he could be portraying the Celestial Toymaker.
The anniversary episodes are expected to set out why The Doctor has regenerated with a familiar face – and what leads to another regeneration into the Fifteenth Doctor, played by Ncuti Gatwa.
