The Child’s Play franchise is headed to the small screen with the upcoming Chucky series. Today we learnt some fresh details on the upcoming project.
Franchise creator Don Mancini will be writing and executive producing the series with David Kirschner and Nick Antosca. Mancini has promised a “fresh take on the franchise” with a series that’ll “explore Chucky’s character with a depth that is uniquely afforded by the television series format.”
News has dropped today that 20th Century X-Men film ‘The New Mutants‘ will have a ComicCon&Home panel, on Thursday, July 23rd at 2PM PT featuring starts Anya Taylor Joy, Maise Williams, Henry Zaga , Blu Hunt, Charlie Heaton and director Josh Boone. Universal is moving a group of Blumhouse titles deeper into the theatrical release calendar including Halloween Kills and its sequel Halloween Ends, MGM/Monkeypaw’s Candyman and the upcoming Purge 5.
Universal Pictures was set to bring a horror icon back to life on June 12, 2020 with the release Candyman. This upcoming release got pushed back to September 25, 2020 due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
This installment will be a direct sequel to the original 1992 film and has been described as a spiritual sequel.
Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus pandemic that’s forced cinemas across the world to shut down, Universal will no longer be releasing Candyman on that date.
David Gordon Green’s Halloween Kills, which is currently in post production has officially been postponed.
