Lionsgate wants to play another game. The studio made a surprise announcement of “Saw XI” on Monday afternoon, along with plans for the 11th entry in the long-running horror franchise to hit theaters just nine months from now.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the franchise Lionsgate has announced the upcoming release of new Saw 10-Film Collection Blu-ray box set.
Pre-orders are available here on Amazon now with a release date set for March 5th.
Original Saw cast member Shawnee Smith is returning in the newest installment of the horror franchise from Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures.
While the studio declined to comment on Smith’s casting, Deadline reported that the tenth Saw film with also featured Synnøve Macody Lund, Steven Brand and Michael Beach.

Lionsgate are re-releasing the Hunger Games franchise in new a Limited Edition Ultimate 4k UHD & BD Steelbook Collection including all four films.
Madelaine Petsch, Froy Gutierrez and Gabriel Basso have been tapped to star in a Lionsgate remake of the 2008 horror The Strangers, which has entered production in Slovakia.
Renny Harlin has officially be announced to be directing the film, which will be the first in a trilogy. News first broke of the upcoming remakes last month with Harlin being rumoured to be attached shortly after.
Lionsgate is set to release Sam Raimi‘s The Evil Dead and Evil Dead II in a stunning 4K Ultra HD double feature set.
Both films have previously been released in 4K individually.
Lionsgate has released a first look at The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, a prequel story set in the bleak world of Panem.
The movie, which takes place long before the events of The Hunger Games franchise, centers on Tom Blyth as Coriolanus Snow (the eventual tyrannical ruler of the dystopian nation) and Rachel Zegler as tribute Lucy Gray Baird.
