The tenth series of the British science fiction television programme Doctor Who began filming in June 2016.

Today (11th August) Peter Capaldi and upcoming companion Pearl Mackie were filming scenes for episode 4 at Fields House – Newport.

The episode also guest stars David Suchet.

BBC Three today announces Class – a new 8 x 45 minute Doctor Who Spin off from the acclaimed ‘young adult’ author Patrick Ness.

Jenna Coleman leaves Doctor Who

It’s been officially confirmedtoday (18th Setember) by the BBC Doctor Who Team that Jenna Coleman, who plays Clara Oswald, will leave Doctor Who during the new series which starts tomorrow, Saturday 19 September.

When Doctor Who came back to our TV screens in 2005 both audiences and critics were wowed as it ushered in a new era of time and space antics.

Russell T Davies was the mastermind behind the shows reintroduction and turned the programme from ‘a bit of a joke’ into TV gold over-night following a 16 year gap (not including the TV movie).

The casting of Christopher Eccleston as as the post time war doctor and Billie Piper as his companion was great casting and started the show off with a bang. Continue reading
