Bloody Disgusting have today confirmed Odessa A’zion will play the leading role in a new ‘Hellraiser‘ movie from director David Bruckner.
Bruckner (The Night House) helmed Netflix’s The Ritual as well as sections of Bloody Disgusting’s horror anthologies V/H/S and Southbound, is directing the reboot of the franchise for Spyglass Media, and the movie has been acquired by Hulu. The script was written by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski (SiREN, Super Dark Times, The Night House). The news comes amid original Hellraiser writer and Director Clive Barker regaining his rights to the film after a legal battle.
Odessa was recently seen in Netflix’s series “Grand Army,” and she’s also appeared in “Nashville,” “Love,” “Fam,” and the films Let’s Scare Julie and Mark, Mary & Some Other People.
Spyglass is also producing the next Scream installment Scream 5.
A Hellraiser TV show is also reportedly in the works at HBO.
