American actor, director and stuntman James Winburn has died.
Winburn, was best known for his work on the original Halloween, playing Michael Myers during the scene when Dr. Loomis (Donald Pleasence) shot him 6 times and caused him to fall off the balcony during the films finale.
A stuntman with an expansive resume working on films in four decades, Winburn is perhaps best known for his stunt work in the films Tron and John Carpenter‘s Halloween (1978).
A friend of Carpenter he worked on The Fog and Escape from New York as well as Beyond Evil, Vice Squad, and Popcorn, to name a few.
Winburn also served as David Hasselhoff’s stunt double and driver during the Knight Rider TV series.
Over the years Winburn appeared at many conventions and shows, meeting many fans around the globe.
