Arrow Video FrightFest going virtual in August for ‘digital edition’
Following the news that Arrow Video FrightFest annual genre film festival in London was postponed for 2020 due to Covid19; the organisers have now announced that an event will go ahead; albeit virtually over the August Bank Holiday weekend, presenting up-to twenty-five films from Friday 28th to Mon 31st August inclusive.

Bill & Ted Face The Music release brought forward
Following the recent release of the trailer for ‘Bill & Ted Face The Music’ it has been announced that the film will buck the current trend of films being delayed due to Covid19 and will be released into cinemas a week earlier than planned, on 14th August 2020. Michael Keaton in talks to reprise role as Batman
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Michael Keaton, who starred as Batman/Bruce Wayne in the Tim Burton‘s Batman (1989) & Batman Returns, is in talks to reprise the character for Warner Bros.’s DC movie, The Flash.

British actor Ian Holm (Lord of the Rings, Alien) has passed away
We are sad to report that British stage & screen actor Ian Holm has died in London aged 88, his agent confirmed to the Guardian. He has many well-known roles in Film & TV including Ash in Alien, Father Vito Cornelius in The Fifth Element, Chef Skinner in Ratatouille, and Bilbo Baggins in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit film series.

Justice League ‘Snyder Cut’ teaser released
Zack Snyder confirmed, at the end of an online screening of Man of Steel, that his ‘Snyder Cut’ version of Justice League was indeed real. And that it will be coming exclusively to HBO Max, the new WarnerMedia digital streaming service launching May 27, and is expected to debut in 2021. Disney to re-release Star Wars – The Empire Strikes Back in UK Cinemas
Variety has reported that Disney plans to release the remastered 4K edition of ‘Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back‘ in UK cinemas to help celebrate the films 40th anniversary and also to bolster ticket sales as cinemas re-open their doors for the first time this July after being closed since March by the UK government lockdown due to Covid-19. 
Warner Bros. To Host DC FanDome Virtual Experience
Warner Bros. has set a 24-hour immersive virtual fan experience that will feature anything and everything from the DC Multiverse — and it’s all free.
The event is set to kick-off on August 22 at 10am PT and will reach fans on all seven continents.
