Star of Superman films dies aged 87

English actor Terence  Stamp has died aged 87.

Known for his sophisticated villain roles, he was named by Empire as one of the 100 Sexiest Film Stars of All Time in 1995. He has received various accolades including a Golden Globe Award, a Cannes Film Festival Award, and a Silver Bear as well as nominations for an Academy Award and two BAFTA Awards.

American actor Peter Scolari, has died aged 66 of cancer, after a two-year illness.

Drag Race winner Bianca Del Rio to appear in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie movie

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is a 2021 biographical musical drama film directed by Jonathan Butterell (in his feature directorial debut) from a screenplay by Tom MacRae based on the stage musical of the same name and debuts September 17th on Amazon Prime Video.

The film stars Max Harwood, Sarah Lancashire, Lauren Patel, Shobna Gulati, Ralph Ineson, Adeel Akhtar, Samuel Bottomley, Sharon Horgan, and Richard E. Grant.

Today EW exclusively revealed that RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Bianca Del Rio will feature in a cameo appearance in the movie version of the West End musical she starred.

King Lear is one of my favourite Shakespeare stories. It’s deceptive in its relatively simple premise. A King with a huge ego asks his daughters to profess their love for him in increasingly over the top ways. 2 of his daughters are all to happy to go along with this to get their share of his kingdom in exchange. The youngest and most beloved daughter knows better and won’t just say how much she loves him, as this knows the words mean nothing when said just to get his things. She gets pushed aside for this, whilst the 2 daughters who did inherit his kingdom start giving him less and less place within it, to the point where he ends up on the street with his fool and he learns what a fool he has been. Winners of the 25th British Academy Cymru Awards announced

This evening we were invited as press for the 25th annual British Academy Cymru Awards.

The awards honour excellence in broadcasting and production within film and television in Wales and over the years have celebrated some of the greatest talent in Wales.

The ceremony was hosted once again by BBC Radio 1 presenter, Huw Stephens, at St David’s Hall, Cardiff, where presenters included BAFTA-winning actress Sian Phillips, Michael Palin and Torchwood star Eve Myles.
