The Early Adventures which are, in many ways, the natural evolution of the Companion Chronicles, have been a fascinating mix of the narrated style of those stories and the full-cast plays of the Main Range. Both allow audiences to revisit the eras of Doctors (and, at times, Companions) who are no longer with us.

The 7th Doctor (Sylvester McCoy), Ace (Sophie Aldred) & Mel (Bonnie Langford) continue their new adventures together. The Doctor decides to stop off somewhere to take care of something. As it’ll only take a little while there is no need for the companions to come with him. Of course Ace doesn’t buy this and it turns out for good reason. The Doctor’s business involves the Silurians and soon they are all involved in the eternal struggle between the Earths original owners and the human race. But this time, the Silurians have an inside man.

Since the beginning of the HG Wells adaptations by Big Finish; although there are so many greats, the one I have been waiting for is the Time Machine. Anyone like me who is a fan of Doctor Who has to recognise the ideas and the character of the traveller as antecedents to the Doctor, the Tardis and so much more in that show.

Wendy Padbury takes on the reading duties in this Ian Potter script. The Doctor takes Zoe & Jamie to 1951 to see the Festival of Britain on the bank of the river themes. Whilst there the Tardis crew try to make a minor change to history to help with the festivities; but end up realising more sinister forces might already be meddling in the event.
Big Finish have announced James Marsters is back as Captain John Hart in Torchwood audio release ‘The Death of Captain Jack‘, also featuring John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness. The trailer was previewed on this week’s Big Finish Podcast. This marks the first return for the character since the show was still on TV and James Marsters debut performance with Big Finish.

In 2016, Big Finish dared to do the unthinkable and produced audio stories based on The Prisoner – the clever, challenging and often downright bewildering late-60s thriller series which endures as a true cult classic. The original, which starred former ‘Danger Man’ Patrick McGoohan, followed the tale of a spy who resigns and finds himself transported to ‘The Village’; there to be subjected to a series of increasingly bizarre experiments in order to make him spill his secrets.
We spoke with actor/creature performer Jamie Hill who has appeared in several episodes of the modern series of Doctor Who. He has played many monsters on the show such as the Monk from Mummy on The Orient Express, The Silence & more recently The Foretold in Series 11.

Tom Baker & Lalla Ward are back as the 4th Doctor & Romana. When they arrive on Fundrell a planet where the landscape moves in waves and soon leads them to lose the Tardis and the Doctor to lose Romana. A foreseer at the end of his path see’s the coming of the Tardis crew before being stripped of his position, being see as unreliable in his visions. Romana finds an old friend from her academy days, the Doctor finds a deeper plot at work and the son of the Seer must try to fill his Fathers position. As if all this wasn’t strange enough, who or what is Fendrell’s daughter?
