If you follow the reviews I have written in the past for IndieMacUser I have indulged in discussions on how Big Finish have during the COVID-19 pandemic, but what hasn’t been discussed yet is the releases which have been disrupted.  Luckily Big Finish Productions rarely announce releases before recording has at the very least began, yet The Diary of River Song Series 8 has become one of those releases which had to be changed while recording was occurring due to the pandemic. Friday the 13th Producer Sues Warner Bros, Paramount for Profits

Friday the 13th producer Sean Cunningham has launched a new lawsuit over net profits from the horror franchise.

According to a complaint filed on Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court, the studios distributing the films have “systematically misaccounted” contingent compensation.

The final new X-Men team member will be decided by fan vote online

Marvel Comics is letting the fans vote on the final member of the next X-Men team. Cyclops and Jean Grey are reforming the X-Men on Krakoa, but they’re taking a very different approach – allowing the island’s mutants to vote on the team members.

In a surprising move, they’re allowing the fans to decide the final X-Men member in an online poll.

In 2021, Mutantkind will be selecting the first X-Men team of the Krakoan Age and you are invited to take part in the election.

‘Do The Right Thing’ getting special 4K BluRay release

Universal Pictures are bringing a new release of seminal Spike Lee film ‘Do The Right Thing‘ on Digital, BluRay and for the first time in 4K Ultra HD.  Do the Right Thing has become a critically acclaimed, seminal Black film that has deeply impacted the cultural discourse over the last three decades. Taking place over the course of a single, sweltering day in the Bed-Stuy neighborhood in Brooklyn, Do the Right Thing follows Mookie (Lee), a young pizza delivery man who butts heads with Sal (Danny Aiello), the owner of the pizza shop where he works. As the temperature rises over the day, so do the tempers of Sal, Mookie, and other members of the neighbourhood as issues around race and class become topics of discussion. Lee’s flawless script and Aiello’s searing performance earned Do the Right Thing two Oscar nominations for Best Original Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor, respectively, at the 1990 Academy Awards.

‘The Legend of Halloween’ book released

The Legend Of Halloween is a new illustrated book written by Halloween (2018) & Halloween Kills (2021) writer/director David Gordon Green and children’s author Onur Tukel and is described as “the perfect treat for Halloween fans of (almost) all ages”.   As you would expect the book is based the charecter of Michael Myers as created in the motion picture screenplay ‘Halloween’ written by John Carpenter and Debra Hill.
