Doctor Who introduced a new gay character in New Year’s Day special Resolution but they didn’t hang around for long
Connor Calland played a security guard, named in the show’s credits as Richard, who challenged Dalek-controlled character Lin (Charlotte Ritchie) as she attempted to get into the secure facility he was guarding.
Seconds later he was exterminated!
We recently spoke to Connor about working on the show and the reaction to his role.
Podcasting is a relatively new medium that has it’s roots in the early 2000’s; with the term ‘podcasting’ believed to be coined around 2004. Thanks to pioneers such as Leo Laporte, Adam Carolla, Kevin Smith & Joe Rogan the medium has seen incredible growth in recent years; with thousands of podcasts worldwide covering every conceivable subject matter in many different languages. In 2013, Apple reported over 1 Billion podcast subscriptions on it’s iTunes Store. In 2015, podcaster & comedian Marc Maron interviewed sitting president Barack Obama in his garage. Awareness of the medium has also increased and has been featured in Movies and TV shows such as The Big Bang Theory. However, podcasting is still regarded as ‘new media’.

Review by Doctor Squee (Host of Gallifrey Stands Podcast)
In Paris in the 1920’s it should be a hive of the most talented artist to ever put paint to easel. But when The Doctor (Sylvester McCoy), Ace (Sophie Aldred) & Hex (Phillip Olivier) arrive they find artist fleeing in their droves. Irish Wildthyme (Katy Manning) is also on the scene and seems involved in the artists finding Paris a hostile environment. Can the Doctor’s old friend really be responsible for unmaking an artistic revolution?

As series 11 came to a close on BBC One tonight (Sunday 9th December) the show announced that series 12 is on its way and will be returning to BBC One in early 2020.
The first trailer for the fourth Avengers movie was released on today (Friday 7th December).
And fans were sure to be exhilarated with their first preview of the film, which follows directly on from Avengers: Infinity War.
