Review: Hard Time Bus (2015)
Hard Time Bus is the directorial debut from Dean Charles; written by Owen Mowatt.
The film stars Neil Reidman, Roger Griffiths and Naomi Ryan.
After a rude awakening, Mark Bishop’s carefree and complacent lifestyle comes crashing back to reality, forcing him to make hasty plans to marry devoted girlfriend, Denise. He turns to best mate Fitzy for advice only to be ridiculed for not following the ‘Fitzy Rules’ – “never marry and never settle”. Mark’s life begins to unravel as he tries to manage the expectations of those closest to him and soon learns that with complacency comes risk.
Han Solo spin off film gets it’s leading man !!!
In recent months reports surfaced that actor Alden Ehrenreich was in final negotiations to play the role of young Han Solo in a new standalone film, and today at Star Wars Celebration the casting was confirmed.
During the “Future Filmmakers” panel in London, directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller explained that they had auditioned 3,000 actors across the world for the coveted role, before finally landing on their choice. Forbidden passion and dark, dangerous desires are often central themes in classic Gothic stories which has gone on to form the groundwork of popular Gothic/Horror cinema.
Therefore it doesn’t take much reasoning to discover why many of the LGBT community, who are often taught that their sexuality is wrong and does not fit society’s view – connect to gothic cinema often on an emotional level; relating and sympathising with the ‘monster’ who has been shunned from society.
