Live-action ‘Blade Runner’ TV series announced at Amazon
Amazon Prime Video announced today that it has greenlit Blade Runner 2099, a live-action limited TV series set in the world of Ridley Scott’s beloved sci-fi film. Scott will serve as an executive producer on 2099, while Silka Luisa (Shining Girls) will be the showrunner.

Prime Video has announced that season three of its hit original half-hour animated comedy series Star Trek: Lower Decks will launch on Friday 26th August, exclusively on Prime Video in the UK and Ireland. Following the premiere, the remaining nine episodes of the 10-episode long season will be available to stream weekly on Fridays.

First clip released from Prime Video’s ‘Reacher’ series
Prime Video has released the first action-packed clip for Reacher, starring Alan Ritchson and based on the novels by Lee Child. All eight episodes of the upcoming series will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on Friday 4th February 2022 in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Reacher follows Jack Reacher, a veteran military police investigator who has just recently entered civilian life. Reacher is a drifter, carrying no phone and the barest of essentials as he travels the country and explores the nation he once served. When Reacher arrives in the small town of Margrave, Georgia, he finds a community grappling with its first homicide in 20 years. The cops immediately arrest him and eyewitnesses claim to place Reacher at the scene of the crime. While he works to prove his innocence, a deep-seated conspiracy begins to emerge, one that will require Reacher’s keen mind and hard-hitting fists to deal with. One thing above all is for sure: They picked the wrong guy to take the fall.
First look at animated spin-off ‘The Boys: Diabolical’
Prime Video recently announced an eight-episode pickup of the animated anthology series Diabolical, set in the universe of the Emmy-nominated hit “The Boys.”The series will premiere on March 4, we’ve learned today, and the official first-look teaser promises that the animated series will be just as gory and crazy as the main series. Prime Video cancels ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’
Prime Video has opted not to order a second season of I Know What You Did Last Summer, a modern take on the 1973 novel by Lois Duncan and the 1997 film adaptation.
The YA horror series, produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures TV, debuted Oct. 15 to mixed reviews with the first four episodes, followed by a weekly releases capped by the season finale on Nov. 12.
BlumFest 2021 – Live stream/live updates
The coronavirus pandemic saw most major in-person events get either cancelled or delayed back in 2020, which resulted in Blumhouse Productions delivering their first virtual BlumFest, a celebration which has returned this year again in virtual form bringing with it “surprises and sneak peeks” of many of their upcoming projects.
Jason Blum hopes BlumFest 2022 will be an in-person event.
Drag Race winner Bianca Del Rio to appear in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie movie
Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is a 2021 biographical musical drama film directed by Jonathan Butterell (in his feature directorial debut) from a screenplay by Tom MacRae based on the stage musical of the same name and debuts September 17th on Amazon Prime Video.
The film stars Max Harwood, Sarah Lancashire, Lauren Patel, Shobna Gulati, Ralph Ineson, Adeel Akhtar, Samuel Bottomley, Sharon Horgan, and Richard E. Grant.
Today EW exclusively revealed that RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Bianca Del Rio will feature in a cameo appearance in the movie version of the West End musical she starred.
