Live-action ‘Blade Runner’ TV series announced at Amazon
Amazon Prime Video announced today that it has greenlit Blade Runner 2099, a live-action limited TV series set in the world of Ridley Scott’s beloved sci-fi film. Scott will serve as an executive producer on 2099, while Silka Luisa (Shining Girls) will be the showrunner.

Joe Turkel, character actor known for his roles in “The Shining” and “Blade Runner,” has died at St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, Calif. on Monday, a representative has confirmed to Variety. He was 94.
Vangelis – Oscar winning composer of scores including ‘Chariots Of Fire’ and ‘Blade Runner’ has died aged 79
Vangelis, whose iconic theme for 1981’s Chariots of Fire won an Oscar, has died, according to published reports. He was 79.

His representatives told The Guardian that he died in a hospital in France where he was being treated for undisclosed causes.

Rutger Hauer, ‘Blade Runner’ Star, Dies at 75
Rutger Hauer, the versatile Dutch leading man of the ’70s who went on star in the 1982 “Blade Runner” as Roy Batty, died July 19 at his home in the Netherlands after a short illness. He was 75.

David has been most recently seen on our screens in Gotham season 3 as Dwight Pollard and villian Abra Kadabra in CW’s The Flash
He got his big break playing Joker associate Thomas Schiff in Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight‘. This has led on to many Film & TV Roles including playing Kurt in Marvel’s ‘Ant-Man‘. More recently he appeared in the revival of Twin Peaks & Blade Runner 2049.
