Sean S. Cunningham developing Friday the 13th reboot

Sean S. Cunningham is developing a reboot for Friday the 13th, whilst also developing a reboot of a horror movie he produced back in 1985, House.

As reported by Bloody Disgusting, Cunningham is also producing an original film titled The Night Driver, working alongside writer Jeff Locker and director Jeremy Weiss on the various upcoming projects.

Peacock to produce Friday the 13th prequel series

Peacock has order a Friday the 13th prequel series currently titled Crystal Lake Variety has learned.

Exact plot details are being kept under wraps, although it is described as an “expanded prequel.”

The show will be written by Bryan Fuller, who is also the showrunner and an executive producer. Victor Miller, who penned the original film in the franchise, will also executive produce along with Marc Toberoff, Rob Barsamian, and A24.

Rumour – Corey Feldman claims Friday the 13th legal battle has been resolved

Friday the 13th actor Corey Feldman has claimed that the end of the Friday the 13th legal battle is imminent.

Feldman starred in Friday the 13th Part IV: The Final Chapter, as Tommy Jarvis, a 12-year-old boy who ends up killing Jason with a machete in the finale. An older version of Tommy would appear in the next two sequels, but with John Shepherd and Thom Mathews taking over the role.

Paramount Pictures to release ‘Friday the 13th’ 8 movie limited edition steelbook set

As previously reported Paramount is releasing a new Friday the 13th: 8-Movie Blu-ray Collection on August 10, which features the first 8 films in the franchise and includes the newly remastered versions of the first four. On the same day, the original classic’s remaster is getting its own solo Blu-ray.

Paramount will also be releasing a Limited Edition Steelbook Version of the Friday the 13th: 8-Movie Blu-ray Collection on October 12, 2021.

Paramount will be re-releasing their Friday the 13th: 8-Movie Blu-ray Collection later this year;the set features newly remastered versions of the first four films in the franchise. Additionally it has been announced the original film ‘Friday The 13th‘ will be getting it’s own individual release featuring the same re-mastered version as the box set.
