New ‘The Mummy’ movie coming from Blumhouse and ‘Evil Dead Rise’ director

Lee Cronin (Evil Dead Rise) is writing and directing a new take on ‘The Mummy’, it has been announced today. Atomic Monster and Blumhouse, along with Cronin’s company ‘Doppelgängers’, are producing.The project was previously only known as a Cronin mystery movie that had been announced earlier this year and is now set for an April 17, 2026 release.

“This will be unlike any Mummy movie you ever laid eyeballs on before,”

he said in a statement to THR.

Atomic Monster and Blumhouse are co-financing the film. Producing are James Wan, Jason Blum and John Keville. Executive producing are Michael Clear, Judson Scott and Macdara Kelleher. Alayna Glasthal is the executive overseeing the project for Atomic Monster.

‘Knight Rider’ series getting film adaption.

Spyglass Media Group has teamed with Atomic Monster’s James Wan and Michael Clear to develop a film based on the 1980s classic action series, Knight Rider. TJ Fixman, a former video game writer, is adapting the screenplay play. Judson Scott will serve as executive producer.
