Trailer released for ‘Evil Dead Rise’

The first trailer has been released from the latest instalment in the Evil Dead franchise ‘Evil Dead Rise’. Check out the trailer below.

The film serves as the fifth installment in the Evil Dead franchise and stars Alyssa SutherlandLily SullivanGabrielle EcholsMorgan DaviesNell Fisher, and Mia Challis. The film follows two sisters trying to survive and save their family from demonic creatures known as Deadites.

A teaser for the trailer was also  released yesterday, presented by Bruce Campbell.

Evil Dead Rise will be released on the big screen on April 21, 2023. The fifth installment of The Evil Dead franchise was set to premiere on HBO Max this year.

Here’s the official plot synopsis for director Lee Cronin‘s Evil Dead Rise…

“In the fifth Evil Dead film, a road-weary Beth pays an overdue visit to her older sister Ellie, who is raising three kids on her own in a cramped L.A apartment. The sisters’ reunion is cut short by the discovery of a mysterious book deep in the bowels of Ellie’s building, giving rise to flesh-possessing demons, and thrusting Beth into a primal battle for survival as she is faced with the most nightmarish version of motherhood imaginable.”

Sam RaimiBruce Campbell and Robert Tapert are producing Evil Dead Rise. According to Campbell, the three have been “very involved” in the project every step of the way.
