Bruce Campbell has unveiled a teaser for ‘Evil Dead Rise’  with the promise of a full trailer arriving tomorrow (January 4, 2023).

The film serves as the fifth installment in the Evil Dead franchise and stars Alyssa Sutherland, Lily Sullivan, Gabrielle Echols, Morgan Davies, Nell Fisher, and Mia Challis. The film follows two sisters trying to survive and save their family from demonic creatures known as Deadites.Campbell teases ahead of the video footage,

“Now I’ve seen the movie and all of its glory and in case you’re wondering, yes it is amazing… and yes, it is the scariest one yet.”

Evil Dead Rise will be released on the big screen on April 21, 2023. The fifth installment of The Evil Dead franchise was set to premiere on HBO Max this year.

Here’s the official plot synopsis for director Lee Cronin‘s Evil Dead Rise…

“In the fifth Evil Dead film, a road-weary Beth pays an overdue visit to her older sister Ellie, who is raising three kids on her own in a cramped L.A apartment. The sisters’ reunion is cut short by the discovery of a mysterious book deep in the bowels of Ellie’s building, giving rise to flesh-possessing demons, and thrusting Beth into a primal battle for survival as she is faced with the most nightmarish version of motherhood imaginable.”

Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell and Robert Tapert are producing Evil Dead Rise. According to Campbell, the three have been “very involved” in the project every step of the way.
