Review: Scream, Queen: My Nightmare on Elm Street

In 1985 just one year since New Line Cinema released it’s franchise starting horror hit A Nightmare on Elm Street the studio released a highly anticipated sequel.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge was directed by Jack Sholder and written by David Chaskin and follows Jesse Walsh (Mark Patton) a teenager who begins having recurring nightmares about Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) after moving into the former home of Nancy Thompson the final girl and original NOES scream queen from the first film.

New Line had another commercial success on their hands but had unleashed the ‘gayest’ horror blockbuster ever – which wasn’t helped by its campy tagline “The Man of Your Dreams is Back”!!!! Continue reading

Trailer released for Jordan Peele’s ‘Candyman’

We’ve been hearing for years about the reboot of Clive Barker horror classic Candyman and now we can see the first trailer from the project; produced by Jordan Peele (Get Out, US) with Jason Blum for his studio Blumhouse (in association with MGM); and directed by Nia DaCosta (Top Boy, Crossing the Line).

The film stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Aquaman), Teyonah Parris (If Beale Street Could Talk) and Tony Todd returning as the title character.

Review: Greywood’s Plot (2019)

Greywood’s Plot is a Noir horror/comedy from writer/director Josh Stifter (The Good Exorcist) who also stars in the film. The story follows Dom (Stifter) who still lives in his mom’s (Kim Fagan) basement and has a sense of desperation about him you can almost smell coming off the screen. His one passion in life is a monster-hunting web series that he makes with his in-different friend Miles (Keith Radichel), who is non-the-less dragged along for the ride. Continue reading

Sony Plans To Unite Spider-Man Actors With A LGBT Twist

Sony is reportedly developing a new Spider-Man/Spider-Verse film that would unite Tom Holland with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield with a twist.
