In a surprising turn of events, Ben Affleck is going to wear the cape and cowl once again. After making a very public split with the character, Affleck will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman in the upcoming The Flash Movie, filmmaker Andy Muschietti has revealed. The film stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/Flash, who appeared opposite Affleck in 2017’s Justice League,
‘The Batman’ logo revealed!
Days away from the upcoming DC FanDome event, filmmaker Matt Reeves is already teasing bits from his upcoming take on the Caped Crusader. While the online fan convention will likely see the first official footage from The Batman we’ve already been given our first look at the official logo for the movie via Twitter – take a look below.
‘The Crown’ season 4 trailer and release date
Netflix has set a premiere date for Season 4 of The Crown. The latest season of the royal drama, starring Olivia Colman, will drop on the streaming service on November 15th 2020. Netflix announced the news with a 30-second clip from the new season, in which Colman’s Queen Elizabeth II says: “Something as important as the monarchy simply cannot be allowed to fail.”
Teaser released for Zack Snyder’s Justice League
On Saturday, during the DC FanDome event, we’ll be getting our first trailer for Zack Snyder’s Justice League, but the director is giving us a little bit of teaser footage in the meantime. Today saw the release of a short teaser for that trailer released on Snyder’s Vero account. It’s only about 20 seconds long, but the teaser is more than enough to get everyone excited for what’s to come. Take a look in the video below!

‘Scream 5’ adds Jenna Ortega to cast
Actress Jenna Ortega (You, Jane The Virgin) has been added to the cast of the upcoming Scream 5 from Spyglass Media. Ortega joins returning franchise cast members David Arquette and Courteney Cox who’ll reprise their respective roles as Dewey Riley and Gale Weathers, as well as newcomer Melissa Barrera (In the Heights). It is strongly rumoured that franchise star Neve Campbell will also return. The production is set to shoot in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Review: ‘Hail To The Deadites’ – Evil Dead fandom documentary (FrightFest/FantasiaFest 2020)

The film features interviews with ‘Evil Dead’ franchise cast/crew including Bruce Campbell, Ted Raimi, Betsy Baker, Theresa Tilly, Ellen Sandweiss, Richard DeManincor, Tom Sullivan, Dan Hicks, Kassie Wesley DePaiva, Sarah Berry, Rick Domeier & Bill Moseley; although the film centres on a group of hardcore ‘deadites’ from around the world.

Review: Doctor Who – The Sixth Doctor and Peri (Volume One)

So, the final trilogy of the main range in 2014 was a Sixth Doctor and Peri trilogy set after The Trial of a Time Lord. Named (mainly by myself and my mutual) as the Salty Peri trilogy as the relationship between Peri and the Doctor was established to be rocky at best. They’re still friends, but the abandonment issues and the interference from the Time Lords changed the dynamic drastically. Sadly, after the trilogy the next stories to feature Peri would be firmly placed before The Trial of a Time Lord, but this month saw the release of The Sixth Doctor and Peri: Volume One, a box set follow up to the 2014 trilogy with four hour-long stories produced for the 20th anniversary of Doctor Who at Big Finish. These four stories are from five writers who obviously have a love for this TARDIS team, all of whom have lovingly recreated the atmosphere of that trilogy through unique tales.
