Trailer released for Jordan Peele’s ‘Candyman’
We’ve been hearing for years about the reboot of Clive Barker horror classic ‘Candyman‘ and now we can see the first trailer from the project; produced by Jordan Peele (Get Out, US) with Jason Blum for his studio Blumhouse (in association with MGM); and directed by Nia DaCosta (Top Boy, Crossing the Line).
The film stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Aquaman), Teyonah Parris (If Beale Street Could Talk) and Tony Todd returning as the title character.

Review: Greywood’s Plot (2019)
Greywood’s Plot is a Noir horror/comedy from writer/director Josh Stifter (The Good Exorcist) who also stars in the film. The story follows Dom (Stifter) who still lives in his mom’s (Kim Fagan) basement and has a sense of desperation about him you can almost smell coming off the screen. His one passion in life is a monster-hunting web series that he makes with his in-different friend Miles (Keith Radichel), who is non-the-less dragged along for the ride.

Review: Chasing Leia (2020) – a short film about fandom and addiction.
Chasing Leia is the short film debut from writer/director Henry Wentworth; who also appears in the film. The story follows Billie (Harry Wight); a recovering addict as he battles with his addiction and inner demons with the aid of his group of friends; who are all members of the local comic book/pop culture geek community.

Whenever Big Finish Productions decides to release a story that is a two-hander the listener is almost guaranteed a classic. Most of the best Companion Chronicles are the experimental two-handers like Solitaire and The Time Museum, and Robert Shearman’s highly experimental Scherzo is a work of brilliant.
