Big Finish Presents: UNIT – Extinction

Big Finish have done it again and announced that Kate Stewart and her UNIT team from the Doctor Who TV series will be starring in a brand new series of audio dramas.

This comes after Big Finish secured a new licensing deal with BBC Worldwide.

 

 

Kate is the daughter of Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart, and Head of Scientific Research at the Unified Intelligence Taskforce which investigates and confronts alien attacks on the planet Earth. The role is portrayed by Jemma Redgrave on television; and returns for the audio series.

Interview: Daphne Ashbrook

Daphne Ashbrook is known for both her comic timing and deeply complex emotional portrayals on both the big and small screen. One of her best known roles (and my personal favourite) is that of Dr Grace Holloway in the Doctor Who TV Movie (1996). We recently caught up with her for an interview about her life both on and off screen.

Doctor Who Experience – Regenerated

There are two separate areas of this exhibition.

51st-anniversaryFirst broadcast on 23rd of November 1963 at 17:16 (on BBC One) with William Hartnell taking the role as the mysterious Doctor Who – fast forward 51 years and you have 812 episodes, 13 actors who have taken on the iconic role (Hartnell included), a whole host of ‘companions’ helping along the way and is ultimately the world’s longest-running sci-fi show with the worlds most loyal fan base (which bridges generations). This was our first ‘con’ as ‘Official Press’ thanks to Showmasters !!!!  This was our third overall convention (having attended CFCC ’13 & LFCC Summer ’14). Held at the Cardiff Motorpoint Arena for the third time in a row.
