Review: Swimming With Sharks – new series coming to ROKU Channel
SWIMMING WITH SHARKS is a six-part series that follows LA assistant Lou Simms (Kiernan Shipka) as she starts her internship at Fountain Pictures. While Lou may seem like a naïve Hollywood newcomer, awestruck by the studio’s notorious CEO, Joyce Holt (Diane Kruger), landing this internship was no happy accident. As Lou’s obsession grows, she will do anything to get close to her idol. Donald Sutherland, Thomas Dekker, Finn Jones, Erika Alexander, Ross Butler and Gerardo Celasco round out the cast. Written by showrunner Kathleen Robertson and directed by Tucker Gates. Chris Cowles, Liz Destro, Stephen Israel, Jay Cohen and Dana Brunetti served as executive producers. The series was created in partnership with Lionsgate Television. It is one of the projects developed for the ill-fated Quibi platform and like most Quibi shows is now being released exclusively on The Roku Channel under the ‘Roku Originals’ Label.
Kevin Smith series ‘Hollyweed’ gets three episode order.
Once thought to be a dead pilot, Kevin Smith’s series ‘Hollyweed‘ was acquired by new distribution company Rivit TV. They launched a campaign where those interested in viewing the series ‘pledged’ to buy the series once released so that it could be greenlit.

If a year or two back when Big Finish started the Torchwood range you would have said they were going to do one with a new Torchwood crew, not involving any of our favourites I might have been dubious; but Big Finish’s Torchwood has been so good and diverse in it’s output that series producer James Goss has earned the right to do something completely new with it and earn’t my trust.

iSteve – The lastest Steve Jobs biopic project.
With ‘jOBS’ starring Ashton Kutcher delayed, it looks like the first Steve Jobs biopic out will come from the Website ‘Funny or Die‘.
Ofcourse, the early days of Apple & Steve Jobs were already dramatised in the 1999 TV Movie ‘Pirates of Silicon Valley‘
Another major Steve Jobs bio-pic is also in development from Sony; and Steve Wozniak has lent his support to this project.
