Tom Baker & Lalla Ward are back as the 4th Doctor & Romana. When they arrive on Fundrell a planet where the landscape moves in waves and soon leads them to lose the Tardis and the Doctor to lose Romana. A foreseer at the end of his path see’s the coming of the Tardis crew before being stripped of his position, being see as unreliable in his visions. Romana finds an old friend from her academy days, the Doctor finds a deeper plot at work and the son of the Seer must try to fill his Fathers position. As if all this wasn’t strange enough, who or what is Fendrell’s daughter?

While this is the third volume of Big Finish’s full-cast Third Doctor Adventures, its release comes at a time when re-casting in Doctor Who is at peak discussion levels, whether it’s the impending arrival of the Thirteenth Doctor, in the form of Jodie Whittaker; or David Bradley clasping the lapels of William Hartnell’s First Doctor come Christmas.

The Doctor (Sylvester McCoy), Ace (Sophie Aldred) & Mel (Bonnie Langford) arrive in a recently reopened dock yard in Merseyside 1991. But how has the dock reopened under the Dark Alloy Corporation? Soon our heroes find alien involvement and when it turns out an old college friend of Mel’s is in charge at the docks, she is offered a job. The Doctor and Ace go in search of one of the aliens who is assassinating people and Mel mulls over the offer whilst offering computer help in the meantime.

SS interrogator Grau is holding a man in a hotel he believes knows more about the recent spate of deformed monsters who were once men running amuck on the streets, than he is letting on. He believes he knows about Madame Berber and her work to undermine the German plans. And more to the point he thinks this man knows more than he is letting on about Torchwood.

London’s biggest con is back and bigger than ever. There were stalls galore, the original 66 Batmobile flanked by the Bat boat and bike (a bittersweet reminder the late great Adam West was due to attend), a cosplay stage and talks both paid and unpaid throughout the 3 days of the event ran by Showmasters and held once again at London Olympia on 28th – 30th July 2017.
