Review: The Munsters (2022)

The Munsters is an American comedy film produced, written and directed by Rob Zombie. Based on the 1960s family sitcom of the same title, the story takes place prior to the events previously adapted in the series, serving as an origin of the characters.

The film stars Jeff Daniel Phillips, Sheri Moon Zombie, and Daniel Roebuck as the titular family, with Richard Brake, Sylvester McCoy, Dan Roebuck, Jorge Garcia, Catherine Schell, Dee Wallace, Pat Priest, Butch Patrick and Cassandra (Elvira) Peterson.

The Munsters is a co-production of Universal 1440 Entertainment and Spookshow International Films.

‘Clerks III’ getting UK BluRay/DVD release

The new Kevin Smith film ‘Clerks III‘ will be getting a BluRay, DVD & VOD to Own release in December from Lionsgate UK following it’s cinema release in September. The film will also be available to rent on VOD from October 14th.

Smith has ofcourse written the screenplay and directed, with all major cast members reprising their roles including Jeff Anderson as Randal, Brian O’Halloran as Dante, Jay Mewes as Jay, Smith as Silent Bob, and Rosario Dawson as Becky. Sony announces new Karate Kid movie – changes Sony/Marvel movie dates

Sony Pictures has announced the “return of the original ‘Karate Kid’ franchise” to the big screen by dating a new Karate Kid movie for June 7, 2024.

The 2024 movie does not yet have a synopsis from the studio or a cast and crew attached.

Keanu Reeves to star in Constantine sequel

Warner Bros will develop another installment of the 2005 supernatural thriller Constantine, and the studio is re-teaming star Keanu Reeves and director Francis Lawrence, who directed the original.

Akiva Goldsman will write the screenplay and produce the project through his Weed Road Pictures, alongside Bad Robot’s J.J. Abrams and Hannah Minghella.

Live-action ‘Blade Runner’ TV series announced at Amazon

Amazon Prime Video announced today that it has greenlit Blade Runner 2099, a live-action limited TV series set in the world of Ridley Scott’s beloved sci-fi film. Scott will serve as an executive producer on 2099, while Silka Luisa (Shining Girls) will be the showrunner.

Disney removes Star Wars spinoff Rogue Squadron from release schedule

Disney has removed Rogue Squadron, the new Star Wars spin-off film from director Patty Jenkins, from its release calendar.

The film, which was scheduled for December 22, 2023, was taken off the studio’s production schedule in 2021, reportedly due to scheduling conflicts with Jenkins.
