A director’s statement for Mental Health and Horror: A Documentary has been released. The video features original music by legendary horror composer Simon Boswell (Hardware, Clive Barker’s Lord of Illusions), who has also been announced as an interviewee.

‘Friday the 13th’ getting newly remastered Blu-Ray release

Paramount will be re-releasing their Friday the 13th: 8-Movie Blu-ray Collection later this year;the set features newly remastered versions of the first four films in the franchise. Additionally it has been announced the original film ‘Friday The 13th‘ will be getting it’s own individual release featuring the same re-mastered version as the box set.

“The terrifying first film that launched a killer horror movie franchise comes to Blu-ray in its original theatrical cut, remastered from the original film elements.”

Review: Killer Concept

As a wannabe writer, it’s always a difficult endeavour to create a decent idea that’s in any way compelling. When attempting to script a story that’s ripped from the headlines, makes it an even harder chore. It takes research, interviewing witnesses and law enforcement, and the dilemma of either telling the straight story (which is near next to impossible), or to use some form of artistic license. Aside from interrogating the perpetrator, you may never form this story into accuracy, delving into the realm of a Rashomon conundrum. Killer Concept, a horror/comedy offering produced by Dead Leaf Productions and distributed by Indie Rights, gives us a three-way where one of the characters knows slightly more about the story than the other two.

The John Krasinski-directed horror sequel A Quiet Place Part II is *finally* coming to theaters Memorial Day Weekend, May 28, 2021, and that means the marketing campaign is getting ready to begin all over again with the release of a final trailer. The sequel had been delayed multiple times to the ongoing pandemic, originally planned for release on March 20, 2020.

Trailer released for horror comedy ‘Thursday the 12th’

Thursday the 12th is a new horror comedy described as being “a mix of Evil Dead and Kevin Smith’s Mallrats with a touch of Tucker & Dale Versus Evi“.  The movie stars Todd Bridges (Different Strokes), Jena Sims (Kill the Messenger), Brian Sutherland (Z Nation), and Marilyn Ghigliotti( Clerks). Lyon also portrays the character of Seth Franco opposite Sutherland’s James Rogen as the two misfit mall employees who upset a gypsy the week of Friday the 13th.
