Kevin Smith is looking to auction off his latest horror feature anthology Killroy Was Here as an NFT (non-fungible token).
The new owner of the NFT will secure the rights to exhibit, distribute and stream the work, making it a means for whoever owns the movie to earn money outside of the blockchain.
Writer/director Kevin Smith has announced that new behind-the-scenes documentary Magnum Dopus: The Making of Jay And Silent Bob Reboot is now available to watch on Amazon Prime. MOOBY’S, the fictional restaurant from Kevin Smith’s movies, finally comes to life!
The restaurant was trialed earlier in the year as a delivery/pick-up only service due to Covid-19 however the organisers have now announced it will be open as a physical pop-up experience from next week.
Madness in the Method is the directorial Debut from Jason Mewes (Clerks, Mallrats, Jay & Silent Bob Reboot) who also stars in the film as an exagerated, ‘alternate universe’ version of himself. The film was produced by Dominic Burns (Allies) who also wrote the script (with Chris Anastasi) with Jason in mind.

‘Mooby the Golden Calf’ is a fictional children’s television character created by writer/director Kevin Smith which is the figurehead of a fictional fast food chain that is featured throughout the View Askewniverse, most notably in the films Dogma, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back and Clerks II and more recently appeared again in 2019’s Jay and Silent Bob Reboot.
Fans have long discussed the idea of Moobys becoming a real life restaurant – and last night during a live YouTube Q+A Smith confirmed that they would be opening a pop up in LA 4.19-4.25 (previously 4.20-4.25). Due to the Covid19 outbreak this will initially be a delivery only service via PostMates in the local LA area but they hope to open doors to the public later this year.
Today Smith has provided more information on the upcoming opening and the menu.

Written, directed, edited by and starring Kevin Smith – ‘rebooting’ his 2001 comedy Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back; Smith has described Jay & Silent Bob Reboot as “literally the same fuсking movie all over again”. It is the seventh film in the View Askewniverse. The film also stars Jason Mewes, Harley Quinn Smith and features many cameos including Jason Lee, Brian O’Halloran, Ben Affleck , Chris Hemsworth and Matt Damon. The film is now out on DVD, BluRay and VOD in UK – including this exclusive limited edition Blu-Ray release from HMV (Region 2 UK release).
Kevin Smith‘s latest release Jay and Silent Bob Reboot is now available on VOD and Pre Order in the USA with a release date of January 21st 2020. A BluRay/DVD release from Lionsgate is also expected on this date.
