Saudi Arabia recently banned the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in its theaters due to America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) being shown as gay on-screen; she’s a member of the LGBTQIA+ community in the comics as well.
It has now been confirmed that the film has been banned in another international area.

But it’s not all rainbows for Jamie as his unsupportive dad (Ralph Ineson), an uninspired career advisor (Sharon Horgan), and some ignorant school kids attempt to rain on his sensational aspirations. In rousing and colourful musical numbers, Jamie and his community inspire one another to be more accepting, and to see the value in facing adversity and stepping out of the darkness into the spotlight.

According to unconfirmed reports DC Comics is preparing to make Superman gay. The claim was made during a YouTube livestream by former DC Comics artist Ethan Van Sciver who is often considered to be in-the-know when it comes to the direction of future comic books.
