Cult classic ‘WarGames’ is getting a 4K UHD BluRay release from ShoutFactory.

“Forbearance” is director Lana Read’s third independent feature film. It is produced by female-led production company United Front Films and written by cancer-survivor Cedric Gegel. The cast features Vernon Wells (MAD MAX 2: THE ROAD WARRIOR, COMMANDO, POWER RANGERS) as Dr. George Ross, Paul Logan as Bo Erb, Juli Tapken as Callie Sunbury, Travis Hancock as Josh Sunbury, and Cedric Gegel as Jonah Sunbury.
Joe and Anthony Russo, the directors behind Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Civil War, as well as both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, aren’t planning to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe any time soon.
The brothers spoke to Variety about their experience working with Marvel on those films, and said the two are still in conversations with the comic book movie studio, but still want to put some distance between themselves and 2019’s Endgame. Peacock has order a Friday the 13th prequel series currently titled Crystal Lake Variety has learned.
Exact plot details are being kept under wraps, although it is described as an “expanded prequel.”
The show will be written by Bryan Fuller, who is also the showrunner and an executive producer. Victor Miller, who penned the original film in the franchise, will also executive produce along with Marc Toberoff, Rob Barsamian, and A24.
